a friend crosses the bridge

I have sad news, Sheba & Cody of Sheba's Life Story, along with Ian and his wife have just lost a family member, Coco. Our hearts are with them in this time of sadness. Jesse and Tiera will greet Coco on the other-side of the rainbow with wags and meows of friendship.

how to train M

i brought M my string this morning ... she laughs and says go and eat something.

"i don't want to eat. i want to play with my string," i meow'd. what did she do? laughed some more and kept reading her emails.

humph! we gotta failure to communicate; doesn't she know that MY PLAY TIME is the most important time of the day and is a 24/7 event.

i can see we have some serious training to do here....suggestions would be welcome

BernerTails gets a new Bard

checking over the changes -
it's dark because it's around 1:00 am- meowza.
morning everyone, Sammie here, was just so excited to send out the news that M and i diligently worked all day and finally came up with ideas for the new BernerTails look. i may still do some tweeks here and there but for the most part it is ready for me to start my new task. did i mention that i am a little more flamboyant than jesse and tiera- meeeeow

M found all the missing photos that she apparently deleted a while ago and has them all back online. i spent most of the time reading all the tails about jessej and tiera- what an exciting life they had.

so, i will send M off to bed and me... well, since she won't play "string chase" with me, guess i go dream about adventures that await.

my first week

Hi everyone, meow,it has been a week and a half since i came to live in my new home. it is really meowtastic. M told me all about past kitties and pups they have had, i can smell jessej and tiera around the house and wish i could have met them. M has a bunny that was jesse's in her study and i got to play with it a little. but my favorite toy is some feathers on a bendable stick...it is purrfect. i am a little over weight having been in a little cage for a couple of months and just having had kittens, but M and S are making me exercise.

M also introduced me to all the fun sites were friends are, mainly pooches, but that's okay because they look like really fun friends to know. and she says that pretty soon i may have a berner pup to train and play with...meowrific!

And guess what? The garden is full of wildlife...birds, bunnies, and even squirrels too! i love to watch them come and eat after M fills all their bowls and feeders.

Today i got to go outside, supervised of course,
after everyone left and had a totally pawsome time exploring.
 yummie smells...shhhh don't let M know
a tree, a real tree to climb and scratch on-
and lots of bushes to explore and hide in
it has been a most wonderful day,
now it is naptime, talk to everyone soon,

Sammie changed her name from Breezey because, she says "mew home, mew life, gets a mew name."

so.... here's Samantha- aka: Sammie

meet Samantha

meet Samantha, once known as Breezey, our newest family member. Sammie needed a furever home, which I am delighted that she has chosen us. She has just arrived and is exploring her new abode and getting to know us. and... I think she may help bring BernerTails back to life...

thank you my little friend ~ one more post for BernerTails

Tiera Sharmai
1994 ~ 2014

Of all the feline friends we have had the joy to have walked our path with us, bah-bah T, will leave the heaviest paw prints. She involved herself in our lives from the day we brought the sweet little kitten home to a family of two Chows, and a gentle mountain cat. Tiera established her role immediately; it was her personal goal to oversee everything from cleaning the house, to when we ate, to how long we slept, always reminding us just “who” the queen was. A seven pound Abyssinian that would bully around a one-hundred twenty-five pound Bernese Mountain dog, even kicking him off of his cookie mat if the sun happened to be shinning there when she wanted a nap. She loved to sleep in the sun, she lived to sleep in the sun, her African roots were obvious. She loved her heated bed in the winter time. And she gave me many a frustrating moment with her antics (those who know her know of her ability to regurgitate-at-will just to prove the point she was in control of your life if you happened to forget.) Nevertheless, she gave me many fun and happy memories over the twenty years I served her... she will be missed.

thank you for sharing your soul with mine, baby t

I never knew just how much she really loved Jesse
until after his rainbow journey and I found her
in a moment of remembrance with one of his toys.

this is the first time in forty-one years that our home will be without either a fish, frog, cat, or dog- however, we have decided to still wait until the time to move to Colorado permanently;  although.... you know how life is...if it says you need this "special soul" now...it will give it to you now~
